Tiny helicopters; they descend
I sit on my porch and I watch their
wobbly hap hazard fall to the ground

Their journey will be treacherous
relying on the whims of the wind
One lands near me and I suppress the urge
to crumble it in my fingertips

By chance of by luck some find a spot
to take root and grow
While others get lost and wither away
never to reach the sky

I just hope this is not my fate
plant this seed and take root
